C:\ProgramData\Norton file size is huge

Hi,

I am running Vista Home Premium with SP2 and have Norton Internet Security 2011 version 18.6.0.29, updated as of this morning.

Computer running funny so I ran a full Norton AV scan, found nothing.

So, I got Malwarebyte's Anti Malware, latest version.  It ran a full system scan for over 3 hours and spent a great deal of time (couple of hours) in the C:\ProgramData\Norton folder.  So, I checked the size/contents of this folder:

633 MB, 3518 Files, 514 Folders.

While I was checking that Malwarebytes crashed.

I started this process because somehting has hacked my Outlook Express and sent out spam using my email account there, not from my computer but somehow.

Any ideas?

Is half a gigabyte too big?

FWIW, I have NIS 2012 installed on my Vista SP2 laptop and my C:\ProgramData\Norton folder is 858 MB (Size on Disk), 899 files and 177 folders.

As I know 3-400MB is the normal size of this folder. If it is bigger it is possible it has some crashfiles or reports in the ErrMgmt or in the ErrorInstances folder.
