Can I purchase subscription now and not activate until August?

Hello

The last time I purchased Norton 360 Deluxe was in 2018. At that time I purchased 2 separate, 1 yr subscription, product 'keys' from a local Best Buy. I used those keys in 2019 and 2020.

Now I'm looking to buy, on sale, for when the year subscription expires later this year. And this is what I'm seeing in the product descriptions:

  • 1-year pre-paid subscription requires a saved payment method to activate. Your account auto-renews annually (at the renewal price on the NortonLifeLock website) so you never have to worry about a disruption in your service; if you do not wish to renew, you can cancel anytime in your Norton account. Visit the NortonLifeLock website for further details.
  • Charges incur after prepaid term ends
  • Introductory price for new subscriptions only

So I'm wondering if I can purchase now and not activate until August. But then I'd have to give Norton my cc info first. And then have to cancel the auto-renewal.

Thanks for any clarification.

Barb

As long as you are purchasing from a third party, ie not directly from Norton, you can save the key until you need it.

And yes, you will have to give your payment info to activate and then you can cancel the auto renewal and remove your payment info after you have activated.

Another option you can try is to go ahead and purchase from a third party when you find a good price. Then you can contact Norton Support and ask them to add the time from the new product key to your existing subscription. That way you might be able to side step the requirement to provide payment information.    www.norton.com/contactcs
