I use/prefer the simple NAV product. I purchased a new 2013 NAV product from an online retailer (so I could just use the new product key to renew my subscription), but the retailer sent me 2013 NIS by mistake.
Can I use the new NIS product key to renew my current NAV subscription? Or will there be a conflict between the NIS product key and the NAV product I currently use?

Just adding to Phil's message .....
Certainly get the retailer to resolve it if you can but if you run into a problem or unnacceptable arguments/delays then Norton has a 60 day warranty under which you can be reimbursed and this applies whether you bought from Norton direct or not.
So if it's not smooth sailing with the retailer contact the Norton OnLine Support team as below and reports we get indicate that the CHAT route using your computer keyboard is the quickest.
In your case I'd suggest you ask if they can switch your licence from NIS to NAV by issuing a new key ..... That way you won't have to wait for the refund (if you paid on a credit card you can always enter a dispute with them and they will cancel the charge on your card and they will resolve the cash side with the retailer)
But try Norton first if you retailer won't move quickly. When does your NAV expire?

Please let us know how you get on ....
Thanks for the suggestions. My NAV expires in 57 days, on 10/15/13. The retailer promised yesterday to send me NAV to replace the NIS they incorrectly sent to me, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I will be sure to let the you/forum know how things go with this messy transaction. I just wish retailers would sent the correct product, so consumers like myself don't have to deal with the confusion and the work involved/required in trying to get the correct product they were expecting to receive.
You may already know this, but when you get the key, DO NOT enter it until a day or two before your current subscription expires.
An activation key is different than a renewal code. Once you enter a new activation key, any time you have remaining on your subscription will be lost and you will be looking at 366 days of protection.
