Can I use Ghost to upgrade RAID?

I have a recentish Dell PC with 2 x 400GB drives in a RAID-0 volume (don't ask!).  Of the 800MB volume, only 200MB are in use.  I'd like to upgrade to RAID-1 for obvious reasons.  RAID is being managed by the onboard chipset (Intel X38 or similar).  OS is Vista.

I'd like to get my hands on a ~3-400GB external hard disk, and buy myself a copy of Ghost, but I wanted to see if anyone could think of any problems I'm likely to run into before I do so.

Am I correct in thinking that the process is going to be as simple as:

 - Back up critical data (just in case)

 - Boot with Ghost disk, and copy disk image over to USB drive.

 - Verify image.

 - Reconfigure RAID in BIOS utility.

 - Boot with Ghost disk, repartition, and copy image back across from external drive.

After doing the above, should Windows "just work" as if nothing happened (apart from half the free space going missing)?  Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
