After accessing my Reolink WiFi connected security camera, any playback is blocked which then prevents download. Tried disabling ALL Norton 360 V24 security features with no effect. The previous version of Norton 360 worked fine. If I try to access the camera through the browser, I get a invalid certificate error, but I can then add trust for the browser access to my Private network camera IP and then view AND download playback video. I could not find a way to add this trust to in Norton 360 for the Reolink app.
Hello @Eric_Hanson
fwiw ~ just curious - how about: Settings → App permissions → Add application
&or
Browser Protection → Exclusions
Caveat: I’m not familiar with Reolink
Already tried both of your options and nothing changed. I can view all the security cameras live feeds, but any playback of stored video never plays. I was able to get playback to work fine on another WiFi connected computer with Norton 360 V24, but not my Ethernet connected computer.
Lets ask Community
Eric. Is your ethernet connected device’s internet connection set to private or public ?
SA
Both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections are private. I can access the playback from the browser after I accept the certificate in Norton to the camera, but not from the Reolink app. I can access the camera playback from the app in Wi-Fi from another computer. Something about the app and Ethernet is the issue?
It turns out the problem was with the Reolink Windows App. I downloaded the latest version, removed the current version and reinstalled the downloaded version and now everything works as it should. Strange.
