Can not post with Opera

I can not post with Opera, I get this error message:

An Unexpected Error has occurred.
Sorry, your request failed. A notification has been sent to the development team for investigation.
Exception ID: 10DAD857
Please click the Back button on your browser.

I post this through IE6 and it takes 2-3 minutes for a Pentium 3 CPU to process one forum page because of javascripts. Please make the forum work with Opera. The forum pages are reasonably fast in Opera, I just can't post. I have made about 5 failed attempts.

Edit, I have a second issue: When I post this, I get a different error message, telling me there is invalid HTML in this message that is being removed and I have to preview and try again. I do not use HTML, I use Rich Text editor. I have copied and pasted plain text from Notepad and added colors in the Rich Text editor.

I can't  help you on your first point but on the second:

That invalid HTML message is an ideosyncracy of the message system and tends to occur when you copy/paste text from somewhere else (like your error message text). HTML coding is everywhere on the internet and even some of the code within these forums will generate the error message when the place you copy from uses a bit of code that the message editor does not use -- often formating.

The quickest workaround is to copy into Notepad first and then paste from that.

I see, it's a known bug.

Copying into Notepad first? From where? Notepad is the source, that's where I write my posts. If I write it in the forum text editor, I run the risk of losing everything.

About pasting text:
I don't understand why the text must go into a popup before it gets to the final destination. I've never seen that on a forum before, and it seems to me that copying it directly into the text editor is easier and more user friendly.

I don't know why it should happen if the text comes from Notepad first but it's not impossible that Opera adds HTML coding.

I don't know where that popup comes from and I've been meaning to ask but do you have any version of Microsoft WORD installed since it relates to cleaning WORD coding which it's messages are full of -- we have endless problems with them in another Forum I help in.

Nope I don't have Word.

I see, so if I copy text from Word into a Rich Text editor, the coding will follow and the popup are meant to remove that.
I don't like Rich Text anyway, I like plain text and BB-code. I disable Rich Text editors on all forums but unfortunately I can't do that here unless I want to use the HTML editor but I don't know the HTML code tags.

Rich Text sucks and plain text rule. :)
