I love my new Norton 360 anti-virus that I purchased recently, it has fixed numerous issues on my computer and I wish to use it on Google’s web browser Chrome. Please extend this product to that Web Browser so the growing Chrome user population can enjoy the same excellent protection you provide for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox users.
Can you integrate Norton 360 features into Google Chrome so it's users can enjoy your great product?
Hi, Tyler,
While the challenges Delphinium notes are real and significant--and doing as you suggest would, certainly, be a collaborative effort between the two companies--it's only through user feedback that either can get a sense of the demand that would have to justify such an investment. I'd encourage you to start (or join) a thread for this on the Product Suggestions forum here--and perhaps suggest it to Google as well!
Thanks for the input--and we're glad you're as excited about Norton as we are!
Google Chrome totally has the Norton Toolbar. I see mine right now.
Were you wanting more than that? Which features?

The recently released Norton Internet Security 2012 supports Chrome. Norton 360 does not yet, but undoubted will at some point - we just don't know when.
Interesting. TylerDurden, how do you find the functionality when all security is running in the browser? Do you have to disable any of the dual protections?
Norton 360 V6 (Beta) does support Chrome. I just downloaded the Beta and I have a Norton tool bar in Chrome. Google Chrome is my primary Browser so I am happy to see this addition to the security.

I am thinkinh of downloading V6, currently use V5.1.029, as i have switched from Firefox to Chrome as my default browser. After downloading V6, does Norton 360 toolbar and Norton Identity Safe automatically appear in Chrome or do i need to do something to activate it in Chrome ?
Hi ItalyProperty,
Yes. Norton Identity Safe toolbar will be loaded automatically. You don't need to do anything.
Thanks,
Senthil.
Hi ItalyProperty,
some things you need to know before installing Norton 360 v6 Beta http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360-v6-Public-Beta/Welcome-to-the-Norton-360-v6-Public-Beta-Build-54-is-ready-for/td-p/555014
It is not advised to install a Beta on a system you use for daily use and expect to function without any problems. Betas are meant for finding and reporting bugs.
I ran V6 beta for 2 days and then went back to Stable V5. I did like V6 and it's Chrome additions. Being that this is my primary machine I did not keep the beta on here, but it did run fine. I did have a bit of trouble removing the Beta version V6. The removal hung up at 87% for 30 minutes before I had to Force a shut down of the laptop. I used the uninstall option from the menu. After I forced the shutdown I ran the Norton Removal Tool and rebooted. I reinstalled 360 V5 without any issues and Everything is working fine. I now am looking forward to V6 to be released.
Cool; thanks for the report!
Did you experience any of the conflicts between the Norton beta and Chrome's internal security functionality that delphinium was wondering about?
No I didn't have any conflicts with Chrome's built in security. Chrome worked fine just like it did before I installed the Beta. Like I said I am looking forward to the finale release. Maybe by February 2012 the update to V6 will be released.
That is probably because you have a 2012 version of Norton. No toolbar on googl chrome with Norton 360, any version.
