I've also got the problem that I cannot activate my order (made online in my case) because I never got the confirmation email with a serial number. Seems to me that it should be a case of checking the fact that I've paid for the product and send the serial number in a separate email...
Tried to deal with the chat function but it wouldn't work at all. Have to say that its frustrating that there's not a simple custumer service email address for these kind of issues...
Any help would be much appreciated though...

Hello carthenik
Welcome to the Norton Community Forum
Where did you purchase your Norton product? Have you checked your spam detector to see if it was placed in there. Many people have reported that they find it in the spam detector. Thanks.
Hi
I bought the product online (from the Norton website), in reply to an alert that my subscription was about to run out. This was on 24 Sept (still got 14 days, hence I have not stressed about it). The whole installation process worked fine, it seemed, until it came to the last stage of the registration, when my browser (up to date firefox) just couldn't load the norton webpage. Thinking that this might not be that much of an issue, I left it like that for the time being.
As the alerts saying that my subscription is about to run out are reappearing, I thought I'd deal with this today. Went to my norton account, logged in, saw the order that I've made and paid for and tried to save it. To do this I need a serial number, and the help page says that serial number should come in the confirmation email. Checked back on my emails and had to conclude that I never received one (presumably because something went wrong in that last stage of the installation process). Checked the spam box etc., without any result.
Just to try I also put the serial number I do have (ie for my old subsciption) in the box of my norton account, which predictably enough didn't get me anywhere.
Any suggestions welcome
Cheers
