Angel, now Norton 360 comes with latest version 5.0. If you bought the Norton from any retailer shop, just make a note of the Product key.
Then download the Norton 360 Version 5.0 through this link
[for standard edition]--> www.norton.com/n360s_5
[for premier edition] --> www.norton.com/n360p_5
First It will give you a trial period of 15 / 30 days. Just enter the product key and then activate it.

yes i bought it in a authorized distributor. i am using 32 bit windows ultimate. i used mcafee before installing norton.
i already uninstall it and also used mcafee removal tool..
i already entered the key when i am in the process of installing norton 360 but still not activated when it finished installing.
i tried activating it again but the activation window always appear saying 'unable to proceed' and the one click support window appears also saying "Error: 8505,100 appers on norton 360 version 4.0"

Thanks for recommending me the version 5. i might try downloading it tomorrow since its kinda late here.
I'd be inclined to clean up Norton remnants using the Norton Removal Tool aS BELOW and then download the V5 and install it. I don't remember when compatibility with Windows 7 came in.
Just make sure you get the right download to match the edition of V4 that you bought: Standard (2.0 GB of free OnLine Storage)or Premier (25GB of free OnLine Storage) since the keys are not interchangeable although not tied to the Version.

Note that if you have any other Norton products installed the NRT will remove them too -- no user selection. So let us know if you do and if you have the installation media or not.
