If the issue doesn't go away using another browser, it seems to me that something (like a power hit, or an aging hard drive, or the like) may have caused your Norton installation to become corrupted. The R&R Tool will correct that, unless something deeper is at work.
I contacted Verizon about not being able to download any attachments on Verizon e-mail ... they took over my screen and did a lot of checking including resetting internet explorer 3 times to no avail. They determined that internet explorer was bad , it had some issues that they couldn't straighten out
sooo they tried to download Firefox but the download didn't work so they had to down Google Chrome (which I didn't) want first and then use it to down Firefox ... This worked great and now we are using Firefox as our Default Browser ... Wow I am impressed ... it works great .... We can download both e-mail attachments and PDF's from the web .. We were surprised how much faster Firefox is than the old ie9
OK, that's bizarre LOL (How were they able to download Chrome??) but I guess all that matters, at the end of the day, is that you're back in business! Thanks for letting us know.
I will warn you that Firefox has an unfortunate habit of breaking the Norton (toolbar) integration every time they do one of their multitudinous updates...but Norton is so used to that that they always get things set right again pretty quickly. Otherwise, it's a great browser!
