Cannot override the timer

Hello,

I have just set up the Norton family service and I am testing it with my child's account. When I login as her, it correctly flashes up a warning that the time has been exceeded. If I click on the button to request more time the password box pops up but then immediately vanishes before I can enter my override details (email / password). This is replaced by the original countdown warning, if I try to extend again I get the same result - window pops up and then disappears before I can enter my override details.

Windows 7, latest version of the Norton software (only downloaded tonight). I have tried un-installing / reinstalling, no difference.

Please advise

Hi there

Thanks for your response, but I have selected the 'warn only' option which works fine and is actually better for our needs. On a slightly diiferent subject how do I grant permission to a site when my daughter requests it? I get the email notification ok, but when I log on I cann't see the request, nor see any option to grant permission to the request. What am I missing?

Thanks

spindlefox,

I could have misunderstood you, if you meant you have the option "Give a warning but allow XXX on the site anyway" selected at Settings -> Web online, then the child will be able to access the website without your permission.

Thanks,

Katie
