Cannot purchase product

I have Norton 360 that I did not renew. I want to purchase Norton ANtivirus Plus instead. It does not let me, as it keeps taking me to the Norton 360 renewal site. I can purchase it under a different email ID but it is a hassle.

 

Any idea what is going on

Thanks to @bjm_ for pointing out to me that as you note, if you have a current subscription and you enter your email address when trying to purchase another subscription level product. When I tried I got this message after entering my email address.

So it looks like you will have to contact Support if you have a current active subscription.  If you get the same screen I did, you might also see a chat button at the bottom right that opens a chat immediately. Or you can click contact Support in the message that will take you to  www.norton.com/contactcs   If using the chat function, as soon as you can enter any information, enter "agent please". That will get you out of the chat bot and connected to a human.

You cannot change  subscription type from the renewal pages. Just go to www.norton.com and purchase the new subscription from there.

Just be sure you have gone into your Norton Account and turned off the automatic renewal for your current subscription or you will end up with two active subscriptions.
