Last year, I purchased Norton Internet Security Dual Protection 2009 - which was duly updated to the 2010 version via the usual online update.
When the subscription ended last month - because I still required dual protection for my Windows laptop - I purchased a new Dual Protection 2010 retail box. I removed the existing version before installing the 'new' software on my Mac.
The problem is, despite all that I have done to eradicate any trace of the previous Norton installation from my Mac, the newly installed version acts as though I haven't upgraded the subscription. The result is that I don't receive daily updates to the program.
This is especially annoying since the Windows installation on my Windows laptop is behaving properly as a fresh installation.
Any suggestions greatly received.
If necessary, I can provide Norton with proof of purchase in resolving this issue.
