I have 5 computers using Norton 360. My son's PC computer had its disk die and a replacement PC has been ordered.
I want to access his files from backup using my still working PC using Norton 360 and save them to a USB drive and bring it to his new computer.
BUT, I only see backup files from my computer, not his old computer. Below Restore From, it only says DefaultSet from this computer on Secure Cloud Storage.
His old now dead computer also has Norton 360 using the same account. But I will soon need to remove that computer from Norton 360 to add the new computer.
The 360 user interface needs something on top like a link to FAQ topics on the web. The backup item disappeared a few months ago from the UI and I found similar info under Device Security > Open
The link to the web-based backup and restore was what I needed. I was able to restore files to a thumb drive and remove the PC device that had the disk fail.
Is there a way to view the file directories in a summary fashion for a backup set? Like a list of directories and the number of files in each? This would help a user verify that the correct files are being backed up.
Restore happens as per the configured backup set. If you restore to a new device, you cannot expect Norton to restore your files as per your desired folder structure of your old device.
