Cannot uninstall and reinstall Safety Minder

My problem started when I cannot extend time or disable safety minder.  The username & password pop-up box did not pop-up.  I have no choise but to uninstall safety minder.  This is the second time I faced this problem.  However, I managed to uninstalled and reinstalled safety minder.

 

This time the uninstall failed.  During uninstallation, when it reached 100% marker, it just hung.  I waited and waited for it to close but no response.  So, I ended task by using the task manager.  I checked to find whether the program was still there.  The icons were all removed, the folder was removed and the program also not in the add and remove program folder.  I restarted the computer to make sure the computer operate properly.

 

Next, I attempted to reinstall safety minder.  The program detected that I earlier attempted to uninstall.  I clicked to continue uninstall.  It detected errors and failed to install and sent the error message to Symantec and an error message appeared online.  The message is produced below

On this online message there were two buttons.  One is "help with install errors" and the other is "help with other errors."  I checked both the buttons.  On this help page are instruction on how to remove "all" Norton products.  But the list do not include Norton Safety Minder.  Also, I do not want to remove Norton 360 as that is operating normally.

I cannot uninstall Safety Minder.  I cannot uninstall from control panel and I cannot go back to old version.  Please help.

 I updated my Norton 360 to Norton 360 4v. I tried to uninstall the old safety minder, but it states wrong password. I tried to change still would not let me uninstall. I can't add the updated safety minder to my computer because the old one is still there. Also I can't edit the old either. How can I take both off, then install updated safety minder?

Hi,

 

you can uninstall safety minder any times without any passwors if you get the internet cable out from your PC. This way it can not connect to the servers, and will not try to ask the password.

After you managed to uninstall the software, simply put the cable back.
