Can't Activate Norton 360 Premier Edition

Hoping someone can help me. I have just purchased the Norton 360 Premier Edition. It seems to download all right, but when I go to activate it, I get a message back saying 'This document is currently unavailable'.

 

Does anyone know what I can do to rectify this??

Hi Kirsten and welcome!

 

First I would restart the computer and see if you can activate the product.

 

If not, it might be that the activation servers are currently unavailable.  I would wait for a few hours and then try again.

 

In the mean time, if the product has successfully installed, then you have full protection even without the activation.

 

One question - what security program did you have prior to Norton 360?  If another brand was installed, please be sure it was completely removed.

I have restarted my computer a few times, it doesn't make a difference unfortunately. I have been trying to activate it since yesterday afternoon, and I am still getting the same message. 

 

My previous security program was the regular Norton 360.

Norton 360 Standard and Norton 360 Premiere are two different products due to the difference in online storage size.

 

May I ask if you uninstalled N360 Standard prior to installing N360 Premiere or did you just install Premiere overtop?

i have the same issue as Kirsten.

 

However, no where does it say that Norton 360 needs to be unistalled before installing Norton 360 Premier. And in this day and age, it would be kind of ridiculous for software from the same people does not allow for transparent installation to its customers who are upgrading.

 

Norton 360 and Norton 360 Premier are 2 different products? Then please relook how you name your so called PREMIER product.

 

Dissapointed to say the least.

And yes, once Norton 360 standard edition is unistalled, Norton 360 Premier can then be activated.

Can you please post a screenshot of the error message you got.

 

Even if you had N360 Standard previously, while installing N360 Premier it will automatically uninstall older product and install N360 Premier without any issues.

Unsolicited but my experience none the less...yes, rightfully there should NOT be a need to uninstall Norton 360 Standard when moving to Norton 360 Premier or so I thought.

 

Norton 360 Premier installs without any error messages and in fact ends with a successful installation screen. But when I am presented with the page that asks for activation, clicking on the activation button takes me to a page that says the document does not exist.

 

And if I click on Enter Code and enter the install code provided at purchase, the message Wrong Product comes up.

 

I did an uninstall of Norton 360 via the Windows 7 control panel and upon rebooting, did a download of Norton 360 Premier. Installation was very fast and when asked to activate, it went without a hitch.

You mean activation is successful? Else it would be great if you post us a screenshot of " document does not exist."error. This helps us to troubleshoot the problem very easily.

 

Note: No need to download N360 Premier again. It will be available in your downloads folder.
