Can't Download Files From The Internet

Since installing the latest update for Norton Internet Security, I can no longer download fiiles, such as drivers, from the internet.  Anybody  have a solution?

Welcome Denise,
What is your operating system? Have you rebooted since the installation? Have you run live update until the program told you that all of the updates have been downloaded and installed?

Hi darro,

 

Can you describe what happens when you try to download a file?  Are you getting any notifications?  Download problems frequently derive from browser settings that may be too restrictive.

Thank you both for your responses. I am running Vista 64 bit. I have rebooted numerous times. When I choose to download a file it just hangs at 0% downloaded and says that the time remaining is 2 days. This happens both in Chrome and IE. I updated my Norton Internet Security 2 days ago. I have tried disabling as many settings in Norton that I could, but this did not help. Yes, I have run live update until all updates have been loaded.

Does this happen with all downloads, or only downloads from a single site?
