I have a macbook pro OSX 10.7.2 and I just purchased Norton Internet Security 5 for Mac. It won't finish the install because it says AVG linkscanner is still installed on my mac although i've already uninstalled and searched my files and deleted all avg files.
The installer is finding one or both of these files, you should see if deleting them gets past the alert:
/Library/ScriptingAdditions/AVGScriptingAdditions.osax
/opt/avg/avg9/bin/avgnsd
I am not sure if the second is accessible in Finder, you may need to run Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities) and use the following command (you'll need to enter your admin password):
sudo rm /opt/avg/avg9/bin/avgnsd
