Can't Load norton360 on my laptop

Error Code 111111. Any resolutions?

@Jeffery_Rimmer What is your version of Windows, its version and build?

Restart the computer and see if there are any maintenance tasks being done such as a Windows update since that can cause the issue you are seeing.

Any update on this? I am trying to install on Windows 10 and I am getting same message. I have uninstalled previous Norton software and rebooted multiple times. Had Norton remote access and they tried same things I tried and was not able to get it to install. Gets to 97% then I get the 111111 error code.

@Jeffery_Rimmer What is your version and build of Windows?

Here is some AI generated information regarding the error code you are both seeing: Note that AI is not 100% accurate on all the topics it creates. Are you both 100% sure the error code is 111111 and not a typo? Just asking for the sake of clarity.

The Windows 10 error code 111111 is not a standard or widely recognized error code. It’s possible this is a typo or a custom error code used within a specific application or software. Without more context, it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact cause or solution. However, there are general troubleshooting steps that can be helpful in resolving software-related issues.

Was trying to install on someone else’s computer so not sure of version or build of Windows 10. All it said was error code: 111111 so not sure of much else. Tried multiple times and got same error code.

Be sure your systems are not in S mode.

If it is in S mode you have to download Norton from the Windows App Store.

Yes, I have that too, but everything is installed. Just start it up and log in to your account. I think that’s the part where it wants to log in to VPN and backup and configure the web stuff.

Bug, I think. Everything else has been working

Like this for about 3 versions?

I have Windows 11 Canary 24H2 27943 as my main system.

@EynMarc Your install of Windows 11 is a Canary Insider build and considered BETA by Norton. Norton does not guarantee its products will function correctly with BETA OS installs due to their nature of bugs and constant change.

@Steven582 @Jeffery_Rimmer @ThomasM_Smith1 The error 111111 is not a standard error code that I can get a reason for to explain as I posted earlier in the thread. Please advise whether your installation of Windows is ALSO an insider build, running in S mode, and/or your are running an ARM processor. Additionally, if you are not up to date with Windows Update please get the latest and post back any changes you may see for us to assist further.

I just renewed my license but tried doing a clean install and ran into the same issue. I tried deleting the folder out of Program Files and everything but finally figured it out. Right click on the .exe and select show more options and select run as administrator. Finally got past that message. Good luck.

As we have stated earlier in the thread, Norton does NOT officially support Insider/BETA software for many reasons. Liability that is out of their control due to the constant changes in that software. There are instances where Norton will install on these software releases and may, work as advertised. By and large Norton won’t install on the same builds nor function because of the BETA status. Its good hearing that you aren’t having any issues. FWIW, this is the official statement from Norton for reference.

Compatibility of Norton products with Windows Insider Preview versions or Beta versions of Apple and Android OS?

You know, I don’t care.

I think I’ll use boring releases where I have to wait a month for an update.

I have problems with not being able to shut down and not being able to boot up.
Where do I first check if the update is now error-free, where do I check if the restore file is large enough for the update???

Under Win 11 Canary, I get my 8 GB update. Where half of Win 11 is replaced, so fewer problems.

And I’ll also be the first to use Win 12 Canary as my main system.

Oh, and as for programs, I don’t care if they don’t run right now with an Insider, it will be disabled until the next update.
The most important thing is always the operating system. If something doesn’t want to run, it’s just bad luck. If a game no longer runs, it’s the game’s bad luck.
If hardware no longer works, it gets replaced.
And if Norton 360 is acting up, it’s just acting up and will be disabled until the next update. Defender will take care of it until Norton is running again.

Norton often had problems with my Win 10 Insider, where it wouldn’t install or crashed immediately after updating.
But with Win 11 Canary and Norton, there’s no problem now, and I’ve really only been using Canary since May 1, 2023.
The only thing that was sometimes faulty was that a few pages in the settings were suddenly in English, mostly the WinUpdate window. :joy::rofl:
No problem with Norton utilities either

I ´ve been having the same problems. So, I contacted Norton chat and someone there tried to access my computer, but I didn´t liked because He wanted to install a VPN connection. I don´t know what to do now. My version is windows 10

Check to see if your Windows is in S mode. If so you need to install Norton from the Windows Store.

Also if your computer uses an Arm processor you need to use the Windows Store version of Norton.

Hi.. I don´t know how to check if my windows is in S mode

I live in Brazil, sorry for my English grammar
