Just installed Norton Utilities Premium. Seemed to install ok. Now I would like to open the app, but can't find it. It does not appear in my list of apps at the start menu. It does appear in my list of apps when i go to install/uninstall a program, but I can't open it from there. The installation did not produce any desktop icons to open it. How can I open this app??

I clicked ? and checked for updates. I got the message: "Norton Utilities Premium is up to date. No new updates available."
Have you restarted again since reinstalling NUP?
See if you can click on the ? at the top right of the NUP screen and click on Check for Updates. If any are found, install them and be sure to restart the computer again.
I disabled the Fast startup and restarted. Uninstalled and reinstalled NUP. Now I have the NUP logo on my task bar, but when I click it, I get a frozen home screen. Nothing happens when I click anything on the left side of the home screen.
Just to confirm, you are restarting your computer. Not shutdown and start up again if you have Windows Fast startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
If Fast Startup is turned off, time to try uninstalling and reinstalling NUP. Uninstall from Windows Settings > Apps. Restart the computer and download and install NUP from your Norton Account again. During the installation process, if the app starts you will see the icon in the task bar at the bottom of your screen. Right click on that and pin the icon. That way, you will have access to the app until we can figure out what is going on with the icon and the Start Menu.

Neither method works for me.
When I go to the Start menu and scroll down, there is no Norton Lifelock or Norton Utilities, just Norton 360. When I click on that, there is no Norton Utilities anywhere.
When I click the start button and type Norton Utilities, it takes my search to the web.
I've been using Norton for 6 years and for whatever reason I always seem to have problems with Norton.
I've asked this thread be moved to the Other Norton Product forum board, as it has nothing to do with the Norton Core Router.
As for your question. It does not seem to make sense to me, but if you look in the start menu and scroll down to Norton LifeLock, and click on that, the Norton Utilities Premium shows up there. At least it does for me.
You can also just click on the Start Button and start typing Norton Utilities and it should come up as a result for the search.
