Cant open the 360v4 file

I download the 360 v4 via the link here http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Norton-360-v4-is-now-available/m-p/205021 but when the download completes and i go to open it it asks me to choose the program i want to open it ???   It says " Unknown File Type "  in the open file dialogue box

 

How can i open this and install it

Hi Proz,


I think, the Norton 360 V4 has not downloaded properly. Remove the existing installation file, and try downloading a new copy again. Try to use it and let us know the results.

I did try and download it again but its just the same .... says unknown file type and asks which program should open it ....:smileysad: ....why me ??:smileysad:

Sorry for the problems in downloading. We've been seeing a problem when using Internet Explorer where the file is downloaded without an extension. If you add a ".exe" to the end of the filename, it will be recognized as a program. Thanks!

Still would like to know the meaning of "vanity" and is it possible that the addition of "?OpenDocument" in the url is the issue here? Sorry I am not so hot on server side code like this. But I wonder if OpenDocument  means its treated like a document was than executable.
