Can't run VPN after Windows Security Update

Hi all, I've found everytime Windows Update downloads Security Update KB5027215 that I'm unable to run Norton Secure VPN without disconnecting from the internet.  (Windows 10)  The problem disappears when I uninstall the update.  Is anyone else having these issues?

Sorry for the tardy reply, and thank you for the kind words as well. Glad to have helped in a way that got you the solution you needed. Have a great day and weekend.

Can't believe how obtuse I've been.  Just noticed after AGES of it being in plain site that within the offer to upgrade to Windows 11 was also a place to click if you wanted to stay with Windows 10.  After clicking this my system updated to version 22H2 and I was able to download both the KB5027293 as well as the .NET patch KB5027538.  AND my VPN started working again.  You alerted me to the facted that my Windows was out-of-date, helped me update my Windows, AND got my VPN working again.  A major thing for someone who is obviously not very computer savvy.  YOU ROCK SOUL ASYLUM!!!!  Thank-you!

(Sorry Soul Asylum, wasn't sure if I replied to you or me the first time?  Newbie!)

Hi Soul Asylum, thank-you so much for your response! :)  Unfortunately the only optional update listed is Windows 11?   I've been told it removes a lot of your privacy options I'm not so keen on downloading it.  I did go to the Microsoft update site and can see the KB5027293 update for Build 19045.3155 from June 27/23, but it's listed as a "(Preview)", and there doesn't seem to be a way to download it as it says it should be downloaded as part of a cumulative update.  I looked for the .NET patch KB5027538, but although it looks from the update site that it should've been in the cumulative download from June 13/23, all I can find in my history is something called  cumulative update KB5027537.  However I've just noticed the updates I've received are for Windows 10 version 21H2, and those updates are for Windows 10version 22H2.  Should my  Windows 10 have automatically updated from 21H2 to 22H2 at some point and didn't?  Has my computer aged out after only 2 years?!

Thanks so much again SA!

Hello Saga2512. You should manually check for Windows updates, look under "View Optional Updates" and see if you are offered KB5027293, which will bring you to build 19045.3155. That is the latest offering. The KB5027215 is from the June 13th patch Tuesday. Install the latest optional update, it should also offer you a .NET patch, KB5027538, if it was not previously installed. Reboot and recheck the VPN issue again.
