Help--I'm brand new on Norton 360, having migrated from McAfee. I am getting an intrusion prevention block on a legitimate site--it's a multi-billion dollar corporation's home page. Message says it is a "Web Attack: Mass Iframe Injection Website 10". Even if I disable Smart Firewall and turn off auto-block, I can't get to this site. I tried writing a rule to let me through and that didn't work either. (There really should be an easy "allow this site" button.) The site is working--I could get through on my iPod Touch, so it seems to be all in Norton. I saw the instructions for unblocking a site, but the blocked site is not listed in the box where I'm supposed to highlight it (nothing is listed). How do I get out of this bind and get to the site?

Legitimate sites get compromised all the time by hackers looking to place their attacks on high-traffic, trusted sites. Disabling your protection at precisely the time it is warning you of an attack could pose some risks.
How did you remove McAfee? It is necessary to completely uninstall a security program before installing one from another company. The following is a link to instructions to uninstall McAfee. Note the reference to McAfee Consumer Product Removal (MCPR) tool.
Norton's install removed McAfee before it could continue installing, plus I deactivated McAfee. The message I'm getting is from Norton, not McAfee. I do need to get to the site--doesn't make sense that Norton won't let me through and that there is no way to override it. Help suggestions will definitely be appreciated.
Hi brennams,
Simply turning off Intrusion Prevention will stop Norton from trying to protect you from this threat. IPS detections have very few false positives, so you should take the necessary precautions such as disk image backups and other safeguards. Make sure all of your software is up-to-date on security patches, as well. Even with other precautions in place, what you want to do is risky and invites precisely the sorts of calamities that Norton is there to prevent. Your chances of encountering a drive-by download are exceedingly good.

Norton does a basic uninstall, just like control panel. There could be remnants of the McAfee install that could be conflicting with Norton, and could interupt the proper operation of the notifications. This could affect your access to web sites.
Even as a trouble shooting step, it would be worth your while to use the McAfee removal utility.
Thanks for the suggestion. I did find one residual McAfee module to uninstall and I seem to be getting through to the site. Not sure if that change did it or not, but it's nice to have the problem gone.
Glad to hear things are working again. We may never know exactly what caused your issues, but all security software companies require complete removal of a previously installed security software to ensue no conflicts.
