Can't uninstall norton online family

I ned to uninstall it. It doesnt accept my parent email/password! i can login to norton with them. I have even reset the password by the "forgot password" button. So why wont it uninstall? How can i solve this?

I am trying to uninstall this from a windows XP machine. When I try and remove it using the windows control panel it juts flashes away briefly but does nothing.

 

I tried dwnloading the latest installer to see what would happen, but it complains that I am trying to install an older version than is already on the system.

 

How can I remove it?

I had been using option 2 and selecting norton safety minder. This didn't work. But I just noticed there was a "Norton Online". I used this instead and it worked.
