Cards & Logins Icon do not show up on IE8

XP-Service Pack 3 (all updates)

IE8 8.0.6001-18702

Norton 360 3.0.0.135

(upgrades from Norton 360 V2)

I have 1 Home-PC and 1 Notebook with same software products installed (same updates)

The home-pc suddenly does not support "Identity Save" for all my IE8 pages (it even does not show up at the ICON "Cards&Login" but show up at the Norton Side features as "ok"). All Log-ins appear in the Norton 360 "Manage Log-ins" correctly. It seems the plugin is not loaded and therefore the feature in IE8 is not active.

All 3 Add-ons are shown as "active" when displayed in IE8 (Norton Toolbar, NCO BHO and Intrusion Prevention)

Exactly the same configuration on my notebook works without problems and of course the Icon Cards&Login appearing in IE8)

Initially the problem happened suddenly in Norton 360 V2 this morning (after running for 1 year without problem) without any changes applied to the system (maybe there was an automatic update from Norton this morning as usually every day). Therefore I upgraded this morning to Norton 360 V3 on both computers. But no help. Die 2nd PC (Notebook worked with Norton 360 V2 and with the upgrade to V3)

Hello aschb,

May I ask if I understand correctly. All your log-ins data is showing up under "manage log-ins" however some of all of the log-ins are not showing up under "Cards & Log-ins"?

If this is correct may I please invite you to the thread at:  http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=Norton_360&thread.id=10555&jump=true    and if possible answering the questions from the Symantec employee at message #9.

Some users are reporting a similar issue and it would help to add your issue and information to the thread.

Thank you much,

Mumford68

The Icon in IE8 Norton tool bar "Cards & Log-ins" was not even displayed. But all my log-in data are available under "manage log-ins" with Norton 360.

In the meantime I have solved the problem:

1. Restored the system (full system restore) to the point the problem didn't  happen (Norton 360 V2)

2. Upgrade Norton 360 to version 3 once again

3. Everything works now

So it sounds like the problem was just a bad installation and not a bug or compatibility issue?
