Case Manager Broke My Computer

I was assigned a case manager.  He went in a made changes on my computer and now I have several programs that will not work including Online Backup.  I've tried emailing the address I was given to contact my case manager but no answers.  When I go to the live chat, I'm told my case manager will call me.  Still waiting on that call.  I need what was done to my computer undone.

[Edited subject to better reflect the topic.)

Well, read my thread on NOBU  where my backup failed with the error code A8989.  Yes, the tech remotely came into my computer, added 2 pieces of software  to my machine which caused some strange actions afterwards to my computer.  Well, I had to reinstall my operating system because I could no longer get to my desktop nor could I even get into safe mode.    I had some scary message of "catastrophic failure", an error code, and system restore failed at every date I tried.  So, be careful!  (and I'm lucky I'm a tech myself but 10 hours later of pure frustration didn't make me a happy camper!)

And yes, the tech said that I would hear back from them within 7 days.  It's now 2 weeks later.  He has no clue the trouble he caused me.

Great! So by trying to backup my system, I may have just lost everything. Unfortunately I'm not a tech. So not only am I loosing time but now it's looking like I'm going to have to hire someone to fix what Norton has done.  Where do I send the bill?

One of the things that was done to my computer was Norton Internet was reloaded.  So when I try to connect with the bank, I get an error message.  When I press help, I get a popup screen that says "Security Alert"  - Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available. Do want to proceed?  - Yes   No  View Certificate  I click on View Certificate. Pop up says "Certificate"  It has several options on is Issuer Statement.  I click on that and I get a Symantec website - Legal Repository from VeriSign, Inc.  There are several links under "Relying Party Agreements".  I have no idea what this has to do with my problem, if anything.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have asked Intuit as well but haven't heard back from them either.  Will reloading QuickBooks solve my problem?  If I do reload QuickBooks will I loose all my data?  I know there is a file that it need "fidir.txt" missing.  But then again when I was on the phone with Intuit last week, they didn't suggest reloading it. They and the bank are sure that the problem is with Norton.  Uninstalling Norton didn't help but then I've discovered that uninstalling doesn't remove everything.  Sorry I know I'm rambling but I really don't know what to do and the experts are ignoring me.

Hello fnsroanoke

I'm sorry to hear of the problems you're encountering. I've escalated your post to our escalations team for follow up. Since it sounds like a majority of issues are directly related to the work the case manager performed and NIS the online backup forum may not be the best location to help resolve the issues. I want to help ensure we get your matters taken care of in a timely manner. Please let me know if you don't receive a call within a business day.
