Hi lmacri  Thanks for the reply I do use wise desk cleaner and I do have the portable ccleaner  with  the  built in updater and the 64 bit ccleaner exe file blocked at the firewall also I delete the language file and X86 version of the program.

Thanks for the link, and glad to see that Avast has finally launched a beta testing program for CCleaner.

I was going to say "Better late than never" but I don't know if this new beta testing program will be enough to convince me that Avast is serious about regaining my trust after all the serious blunders they've committed in recent months.  Fingers crossed this isn't just a public relations exercise to try and win back some of the customers they've lost since acquiring Piriform in 2017.

In the mean time I'm continuing to trial other disk cleaners like Wise Disk Cleaner and Privacy Eraser and hope to find a suitable replacement.
