Running Vista 32-bit and have used NIS for years.
Since installing NIS 2010, it runs fine until a system restart, after which the "ccSvcHst.exe" file starts using 50% of the CPU and the only way to stop it is to un-install/removal tool/re-install. It will then normally work OK until the next system restart.
I've just spent a mind-boggling 5 (FIVE) hours with Symantec chat support, which is about as mind-numbing and pleasant as dinner with the Mother-in-law. I've been taken over remotely, escalated and had my brain done in - but am no closer to solving the problem, apart from seriously considering buying McAfee, which I don't want to do because it seems to me if this problem can be overcome, NIS 2010 is OK.
Anyone had the same problem and fixed it please ?
