I am changing my 5400 rpm hard drive in the my laptop to an SSD. I plan to make a current back up of the old drive using Ghost. However, my computer guy tells me that SSD clusters, etc. are a bit different and my back up might not just install and run. He had another person make an image file of their drive and the SSD just wouldn't operate off it when it was put on the SSD.
I have done a similar operation when replacing one 7200 rpm HD for another on my desk top and all went very, very smoothly.
Has anyone done an old style HD to SSD switch out and used Ghost to just put the old HD data on the SSD? How did it go? Any special actionn needed??
