Hi James,
Here's a list of Ghost 12 Features and Enhancements and Ghost 14 Features and Enhancements.
Cheers,
Thanks for the reply Dave. I printed the comparisons and will take a look.
By chance can you explain why the new Windows version of ghost takes so long to created a recovery image I am talking several hours much like what others have posted is it due to the windows environment?. Like I mentioned before it can take hours, but the recovery I did a few weeks ago took like 40 minutes.
Do you mean the difference between Norton Ghost 12 and 14, or the difference between Norton Ghost 2003 and Norton Ghost 14? There have been many changes to Norton Ghost over the years, and how the images are created. If you can provide more information as to the specifics of the images you are creating, I’m sure there’s a good reason for one to take longer than another.
Hi Tony,
I currently use Ghost 12 that is why I am asking about difference between it and the new version 14. Since Ghost has gone to Windows base to create the image from with in it, they take longer to create.
I see what you mean. Yes this would take a bit longer, although there should be no difference between Norton Ghost 12 and 14 image creation times. It all depends on the settings you choose, but if you select the same settings in both, it should take roughly the same amount of time.
