Changing from Mcafee to Norton?

Hello, I want to change from Mcafee to Norton due to prices being extortionate for internet security.

I know you have to uninstall Mcafee from the computer by using the providers removal tool but how do I install Norton onto my computer.

A reply asap would be appreciated. Thank you :)

You have posted this in the forum for the Norton Core hardware -- if you want your Norton Security to use with that please say so since I understand that they come together although if you do end up using Norton Core when it comes available later this year that purchase includes a copy of Norton Security but for more devices.

So please clarify this. Peter is one of the gurus who knows about Norton Core -- I do not.

In addition to what Peter says I'd add that you should be able to download the Norton Security product and use it for a short free trial period while you work out the best way to purchase it for you.

Are you located in the USA if not where are you located? Here and in many countries it is in fact much cheaper to buy from a reputable on line website, or to purchase from some stores, and then download than to buy direct from Norton.

You also need to decide how many devices you want to install it on since it comes for various numbers typically 1, 5 or 10 and whether you want the facility to back up your system/data files which only comes with one of the Norton Security series, the top level one called Premium.

So to help you better can you give us more of this sort of information ....

After using the McAfee removal tool, you just purchase then download and install the Norton product of your choice.

Not sure exactly what you are asking about.
