Changing Language Setting

Hello,

I have recently renewed my licence for Norton 360 prem and unfortunately I have updated the licence while in Spain and it would seem that the software recognises the Spanish IP/Spanish ISP - not sure!

I original installed the software when I bought the laptop in the UK and as I now live in Spain duly updated the software and now its all showing in Spanish!  Which is not ideal!

Any ideas how to change this so the Sofware is in English?  Any assistance would be great!

Thanks,

Adam

Hi adamleeds,

You will have to uninstall Norton 360 Spanish version and install the English version of Norton 360. Please do the following if Norton 360 is the only product on your computer:

Depending on the edition (Standard or Premier) of Norton 360 you have got, please download the latest installation package (English) from the appropriate link below and save it to your desktop.

Norton 360 Standard Edition version 3.5

http://www.norton.com/n360s_3

Norton 360 Premier Edition version 3.5

http://www.norton.com/n360p_3

Download and save the Norton Removal Tool to your desktop from over here:

http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&ssfromlink=true&sprt_cid=1a13409b-29db-4397-a286-9dec49f8e252&seg=hho&ct=us&lg=en&docurl=20080828154508EN

NOTE: The Norton removal tool will wipe out any other Norton products installed on your computer, so only use the removal tool if Norton 360 is the only product on your computer.

Also, please keep your Norton 360 product key handy, just in case. You can get it from your Norton account over here:

https://www.mynortonaccount.com/amsweb/default.do

Note: Norton product keys are not sensitive to language versions or language changes. You can use your product key and switch the language of your Norton product without any problems.

Please disconnect from the internet and run the removal tool twice, rebooting after each run. Then install Norton 360 and connect to the internet when it wants to connect to the web. The removal tool leaves your product key behind, and Norton 360 should pick up your key automatically.

Please post back with the outcome. Thanks :-)

Legend!  I am on it...

Will let you know how I progress...

Thanks - will keep my eyes peeled for an update :-)

Quick Question....

I am re-installing the software in Spain - will I presented with an option for English at any point?  It won't detect my location will it?

What you will be downloading from one of the appropriate links above is the English version of Norton 360. It is prewritten in English, so you won't be offered an option to choose which language you want :-) No, it will not detect your location. I live in a German-speaking country but have got NIS 2010 English version installed. It should be no problem.

You can install any language version of the Norton programs on Windows. It do not have to be the same localization. Eg. if you wish, you can install the Chinese one on a German Windows too :P, they will never conflict. You only need to know/speak on the language the version you installed before.
