I have tried many times, but I can’t seem to change my Network setting from Public to Private.
This facility just does not seem to exist in my settings area. I can navigate to settings but there is no Firewall section, therefore I cannot locate Network Trust.
I tried asking the Ai chat facility, but they didn’t understand the question.
Any help would be appreciated.
From your Home screen select Security on the LH side, select Advanced Security. Scroll down to Smart Firewall, click on the settings gear wheel when you hover over Smart Firewall. Select ‘Network’ on top margin, top item shows option of Private/Public - select Private amd this setting should stick. Occassionaly, on boot, Norton will change to Public, there appears no way to change this at this stage, requires a reboot/restart to bring back Private.
Followed your directions. Thank you. Norton just does what they want [typical arrogant programming] and it sets back to PUBLIC on its own.
I have the exact same issue. On each reboot, Norton resets my own home network to public. This obviously causes all sorts of issues and I have to manually reset my own wifi to private. I am strongly considering removing Norton 360 due to this major disruptive behavior.
