Hi. Recently I’ve noticed that when I carry out a search via Google or the chrome app on my s23 it randomly shows results from Bing! A quick online search says it’s a hyjacked browser? My first concern is that Norton hasn’t found it and secondly, after uninstalling Google from my phone and reinstalling it the same happens. I’ve removed any bing cookies which worked for a short time but it has returned. Surely norton should be able to recognise the issue and sort it?
Online sources say avast, AV etc all find and remove the issue!

Did you try uninstalling the Chrome app, restart the device, and then reinstall Chrome to test.

Hi. Sorry for the delay. Yes, I uninstalled chrome, reinstalled and signed back in etc. I ran a security scan which was all good. No issues for 2 days then suddenly it reapeared. I decided to uninstall all Microsoft apps etc, problem fixed! I never use Microsoft only their keyboard which in my book is way better than the native one but don’t use anything else. The chrome settings on android are not the same as on Windows so accessing certain settings is not possible.

Thanks for posting back.

Don’t know which is worse. Microsoft or Google… :stuck_out_tongue:
