Chrome slow performance on sites with N360 installed
Detailed description:
For a while I’ve had slow performance on a lot of websites, like Gmail, YouTube, Google search and Amazon.
I’ve been scratching my head about it, rebooting/resetting my modem/router, uninstalling various software, reinstalling chrome and starting with a fresh profile and I still have the slow performance.
The slow perf doesn’t happen in Firefox or Vivaldi. Which I found odd, as Vivaldi is Chromium based.
Then I tried something drastic, for me, and uninstalled Norton 360 and suddenly, Chrome works perfectly. I’ve tried to full uninstall and reinstall N360 several times, used the Norton Removal tool, removed all files, tried with smart firewall enabled, disabled, intrusion prevention disabled, in fact everything disabled with norton running and I still have issues in Chrome. The only way to resolve it is to uninstall Chrome.
I have a Windows 11 laptop with Norton 360 installed and I don’t seem to have the same issues on that, which I find very strange. I’m out of ideas to try and resolve it on my Desktop PC running Windows 10. Any ideas?
Thanks
