I noticed that after clearing history and website data in Safari browser settings I am logged out of my Norton account in the Norton 360 Mobile app. However this shouldn't be the case. I have many apps on my iDevices and remain logged in regardless of clearing Safari data. Norton is an exception, never seen such behaviour in other apps.
I see your point that this is not Norton's fault but it would be useful to have the account fully integrated into the app. Frankly I'm surprised that Norton relies on Safari to handle user data. I don't find it appropriate to the nature of the Norton app. I think that user data should be kept isolated in the app. As I said Norton is an exception in this regard. Norton should treat user data like banking apps, it means inside the app and not rely on an external source, i.e. Safari.
Is there a reason you keep clearing the Safari data? This is not a Norton issue. The sign in information is being stored in the Safari data. The other apps you mention may not use Safari, which explains why their login information is not lost.
This would be the expected result. When you tap on Account in the 360 app, it opens Safari. And as you cleared the Safari data, you would have to sign into your account again. If you choose 'remember me', the next time you do this it should remember the login.
Yes, name is seen but when clicking on the account it requires login.
Try following - log in to your account in Norton app, then close Norton and flick off it from iPhone's memory, then go to iOS settings -» Safari -» scroll down on option Clear history and website data and confirm to close panels. Then return to Norton app and click on the account. In my case I need to log in again. If I don't clear Safari's data I get directly into my account when clicking on the account in Norton app.
I just tried clearing the Safari History and Website data and I saw no affect on my 360 app. It still shows my name at the top of the 360 app screen. Even after restarting my phone.
