Ghost 15 works on partitions more so than whole disks. If you install the program you can use the drive copy function and copy each partition from the old disk to new. Make sure you run Live Update to get version 15.0.1.36526 (SP1) before messing with the copy drive function as the first version had a bug that would cause the PC not to boot.
Most of the users here prefer not to use the copy drive function. If it is not done correctly, Windows will not boot. This is mainly caused by letting Windows 'see' the new drive before cloning. You should always clone to unallocated spaced and then when done, shut down the computer. Then remove the original drive completely before the first boot. After the cloned Windows has booted you can reintroduce the original drive. The reason for this is that if Windows sees the targeted drive before cloning, the disk signatures are stored in the registry. Windows will then look in the wrong place for the booting files and fail to start.
Most of the users prefer to save an image (Recovery Point) and then restore it to the new drive. This can be done without installing Ghost if you want by using the Cold Backup feature on the Recovery Disc. You will have to copy each partition one-by-one though.
If you have Win7, can you look in Disk Management. Do you have a 100 MB hidden partition without a drive letter? Which is the System, Active partition?
