I am tring to create a bootable CD that is a ghost image of the computer. I’ve done this before with Ghost 2003 and can’t seem to figure this one out. I want to keep an emergency copy here in case the laptop fails. Then I can send out a restore disk set. Help
I doubt the entire contents of your computer would fit on a CD or DVD.
You have to do this in two steps. First, create a System Recovery Disk (Tasks/Create Sys Recovery Disk) and you'll need the SRD that came with your product (or, you'll have to burn the .iso file that you downloaded onto a CD). Then test this disk to see if your computer will boot off it.
Second step is to get another hard drive and set Ghost to back up your entire C: drive every night. This will save all the product settings etc as well as your documents.
