Completely removing Symantec Endpoint Protection

Hi,

I am trying to install Norton Internet Security 2011 on a donated computer that already has Symantec Endpoint Protection on it.

This computer will be used in a lab setting by kids, and I want the porn blocking features of Norton Online Family.

I have already removed SEP from Add/Remove programs, but the Norton 2011 installation still says, "Another version of a Norton or Symantec product has been detected on this computer" and it won't let me install it.

How can I completely remove Endpoint Protection? Other than this issue the computer is in good shape, and I really do not want to wipe the hard drive. The PC is running XP Professional SP3.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

You'll have to do some digging to find what you need I'm afraid, unless Dave H can help you as indicated in the message above yours.
