Computer at risk, Quick scan does not fix and can't scan anything and can't go on settings?

For one my date and Time are infact correct

I have an HP ENVY DV7-7212nr with windows 8 that i just go about 16 days ago and been using the Norton Internet Security that came with it, (don't know if its the 2012 or 2011 or what ever it may be, i don't know how to check it)

So while using the pc yesterday I saw an Attentioin notification on the bottom right of my desktop by Norton Security

and this is how it looks like it.

So I clik on it and get this

Warning.PNG

(Mind you by the details of the CPU Usage, system or norton, I have no idea if its good or bad terms , i don't know when i should be worried about it or not, so an explanation on that would be good and the Trust level on 70%, what is that?  )

So I clicked on the Fix Now and got this....

Sooo...Help? ALSO, I can't seem to do anything on the norton either, i CANNOT click on the settings, when i click on scan now, in computer scan i CANNOT click on quick scan and full system scan either??

MORE IMPORTANTLY, is there anything wrong with my computer, that i should be worry about? Did I get a virus or something? I just got this computer about 16 days ago don't see why this has happen.

Welcome,

Before we both panic let's do some checking.

Have you rebooted? Can you run live update manually? Does that solve the problem so you can do the quick scan?

Keep us posted

Hi xChrisx12,

You are using a laptop/netbook - correct?  From the looks of your system tray image - it appears that you are running on battery power.  Most scans' default settings are set to NOT run on battery power.  I'd suggest connecting your system to the mains and see if things change.

Please let us if know if this helps.
