I have had Norton 360 for a few years. Suddenly things are missing and I can't figure anything out and can't find anywhere to email for help. I am not very computer savvy. I fumbled around and got to My Devices on Norton Management Page.
It shows:
Products Installed:
Norton 360 and then in red it says " Computer Protection at Risk"
What is this? I did Live Update. It says I'm up to date.
Really frustrated as, for all I know, I no longer have computer protection at all. It used to be so simple seeing that nice green gadget that said Protected. I really need that gadget back to simplify my life. Thought all the troubles were over when the blue screen finally stopped appearing.
Can any one help me (sorry for whining - hope that doesn't put you off).

I don't remember updating Norton - I have always just let it take care of it. A few weeks ago I did do an Internet Explorer update. It's only been the last few days that I noticed the gadget has been missing. So it was because I updated IE? If so, it took me a while to notice that gadget missing but I haven't actually been on my PC much lately (hopefully it's that and not that I am that unobservant!) It's not just the missing gadget though, all the Norton windows look different and I'm not sure if I am supposed to be doing things or continue to just let it take care of things. If it wasn't for the "Computer Protection at Risk" in red, I wouldn't have worried.
Anyway, the other info is: the end date is Jan 13, 2013 and it says 91 days left. It says I have 3 Licensed Installs and have 2 Available. I originally bought Norton online in Jan 2011, and then renewed in Jan 2012.

Thanks for your help. I figured out it was because there was a problem with the back up not being done. Once that was resolved the Computer Protection at Risk message went away. I'm sorry to have taken up your time on something that was so simple! I don't know why the backup didn't proceed as it usually does, but it seem OK now.
The specifics you mention -- everything looks different and there is no Desktop Gadget -- are specifics to the new V20 that you have and which was released about a month ago ....
It sounds as if you are on AutoRenewal and that it is working
Do you have a little Norton Icon that looks a bit like a globe on your system tray down at the bottom right of the screen and does it have a green tick mark or a red cross on it?
When you look at your N360 screens does anything say you have anything that needs fixing?
If not then I'd say you are not at danger but try manually running Live Update a couple of times with a reboot inbetween and see if anything changes.

Apart from checking those things I definitely would not do anything specific for the moment -- and please don't run any cleanup or registry tools since they can do more harm than good unless you take some precautions and know what they may be trying to do.
I don't know why your Norton Management should be saying you are at risk -- sometimes that comes up elsewhere with Microsoft saying this because you don't have their stuff running and have Norton but that would not come up in Norton Management.
Let's see what happens after the weekend is out of the way.
