Computer says it cannot find Norton's, any ideas?

My computer says it cannot detect Norton's. Subscription good until May26. Norton's Icon still on desktop but does not work. Customer support so far has not helped.

Hi pinggolf1001,

More info is required please.  Operating System and SP#, which Norton product and version are you using, is there a Norton's icon on the system try, in the start menu?  What have you done to Norton recently? - reinstalled, run an upgrade?  Have you rebooted lately?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A665-S5173 using Windows 7 with an I5 processor. I have Norton 360 good until May 26 of 2013. The Icon is on my Desktop as always and can be seen when I hit the start button menu.

Done nothing to Nortons other than use it as required at shutdown everyday.

Hi pinggolf1001,

On the main pageof N 360, please click on Support and then About and tell us which version of N 360 you are running?  It will start with a double digit number such as 18, 19 , or 20.

Do yuo also have an icon in your system tray - the area at the bottom right of your screen where the system time and date are located?  If so, is there a green checkmark on it?

The Icon is not in the system tray. I get an error code of 8504, and 104. I'm sorry I am not experienced enough to locate the Norton's number you requested. Off of the top of my head i'm thinking 360 version 5, but not sure if that helps you.
