My new tax software instructs me to add it's program file to the sonar exclusion list. It gives directions where I'm supposed to go to settings (no problem), then Antivirus and sonar exclusions, then configure, etc. However when I go to settings all I see is Antivirus. I click on anti virus and my only options seem to be turn sonar on or off or automatic. I don't see where I can modify what programs are to be added to an excluded list. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Hi RK2007,
Can yu tell us which Norton product you are running?
No, the logo is a yellow square with a black circle line around three fourths of the logo. Called Norton Security Suite.

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but it's called Norton Security Suite. I looked for a version number but wasn't able to find anything.

O)K - you are running the Comcst version of Norton Security Suite. The setting you re looking for is here:
Settings > AntiVirus > Scans & Risks Tab > scroll down and you will see Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect and SONAR Detection. Click on the Configure(+) Select Add, add the item and OK. Note you can click on the folde to browse to the item you desire to add.
That worked! I never thought to look under "scans and risks." Thanks so much. Ken.
