Could this be a virus?

In Microsoft Office, when we type the word "the" and hit the space bar the word "f*ck" appears, when we type the word "for" and hit the space bar the word "b*tch" appears, if we type the word "a" and space bar the following appears "&55H013".  This happens in all MS Office applications (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.), but not in wordpad or notepad.

Nothing shows up running antivirus software.

And one know what this is?

Are you sure its not your make making fool of you?

Step 1: Open up the MS Office menu by clicking on the Office orb

Step 2: In the resulting window that appears, click and then autocorrect options

Step 3: Type in "The".  If the word matches with the one stored (as shown below), hit delete. Repeat the procedure with "For".  AFter that, click "OK" to all the menu.

Step 4: Repeat the procedure in each Office application affected.

I agree with Tywin7.  If you are using an older version of Office, go into Tools > Autocorrect Options and you'll probably find that someone has played a little joke by having your Office applications automatically substitute the profanities for your intended words.

Follow the second screenshot above and see if someone set a custom dictionary.

edit- sorry SendOfJive, didn't see your message.

Sounds like a disgruntled employee

Sorry about the blank third screenshot.  Here it is:

Edit: I've edited out the taboo as per Tim's instruction.

Tywin,

Please use "&55H013" as an example in your screenshot besides the word that you chose to use. We can't approve the image that has that word in it. :smileywink:

Edit in instruction: Click "close" instead of OK in the proofing window that appeared.
