I just got a new Dell desktop running Vista64. I installed Ghost 14 and created a full backup of my "C" drive.
I ran Driver Validation and it said it didn't have the following two drivers:
JMicron JMB36X Controller
WAN Miniport (SSTP)
The JMicron device is a RAID controller which I'm not using and I don't need WAN/LAN support.
The hard disk and DVD Burner are SATA devices using a standard Microsoft driver.
When I go to create a Recovery Disk, it tells me that it needs 32 bit drivers.
It then goes to an add driver screen that is empty and the 'Next' button is greyed out.
I would expect it to have suitable 32bit SATA drivers.
I should say that my boxed version of Ghost 14 did not come with a Recovery Disk.
When the program asked to point to the Recovery Disk I put in my Ghost Installation Disk.
It appears that the drivers on the Dell web site are in install packages.
I'm afraid that if I selected a 32bit driver it might go ahead and install it, which would be a disaster.
The computer is a Dell Studio XPS 435T.
Any ideas on how to create a bootable recovery CD?
