It would surely help to know which version of Ghost you are using and on which version of Windows.
Sure - sorry about that - I had it in the subject but had to delete it because of the character limit and then forgot to add it.
Ghost 14 and Vista Home Premium
I can't help directly but I'm probing for information that may enable others to help you. When you say " to create a recovery point" do you mean using the facility in VISTA or using something in GHOST?
I've not used Ghost but I used to use PQ's predecessor but I forget how it works at that level.
i am referring to using ghost. I am having to get help by contacting a symantec technician through chat. I'll post the results - hopefully it won't take 2.5 hours. :)
Thanks for clarifying.
Good luck!
I am so happy to report that the Symantec technician was able to resolve the issue through a chat session. He had to download a registry edit that was specifically mentioned in the knowledge base (?) for the error E0bb0147. I am almost through backing up my c drive and will then backup my d drive then make my recovery disc. I am so thrilled!! I wanted to wait until I had everything backed up before I added service pack 1 to Vista.
Great news! Thanks for the feedback.
To help others could you confirm that this is what he did:
BTW, I initially received this error above after uninstalling Norton Save and Restore 2.0 and then installing Ghost 14.0. The registry fix mentioned in the article did not resolve the issue.
However, using the removal tool to completely remove everything and then reinstalling Ghost 14 from scratch did resolve this issue for me.
Thanks for the clarifiication.
Glad it's all fixed now.
