Critical Chrome Update

I have three pages that open when I start Google Chrome and one of them is my.xfinity.com. Twice this page has been replaced with a page that says "Critical Chrome Update". When I first opened Chrome, the page was my.xfinity.com and at some point was replaced with "Critical Chrome Update". I believed it to be scam, and both times closed the page immediately and checked to make sure Google Chrome was up to date, which it was. Is there anything I need to do or can do to stop this page from coming up?

Thank you for your help!

This is a scam that is usually delivered by a malicious ad on a site you are visiting. You can turn off Java Script in your browser. Some sites may need this, so an other option is to install an ad blocker in your browser. That can help stop these kind of redirects.

This Forum  -- Forum Feedback -- is intended for matters relating to how the Norton Forums work ... problems and suggestions for improvement so I'll ask a moderator to move you over to one of the other Forums that are Norton Product related so it would help if you would say which Norton Security product you are using ,,,,, and on what version of Windows.

If you do a search in the Forums either visually or using the Search utility (not always very helpful in understanding what you are looking for!) you will find a good deal about Chrome problems and there have been some updates from Norton dealing with Chrome.
