Detailed Description
I am encountering a critical issue with the activation of Norton Family Parental Control on my child’s device (Android 13).
The software installs successfully, but upon attempting to activate or register the device within the Norton Family ecosystem, the process repeatedly fails or remains in an unactivated state. I have attempted this activation 4 to 5 times error code 18332976770 over the past 24 hours with the exact same result.
The steps I followed were:
-
Downloaded the latest application version onto the child’s Android 13 device.
-
Logged in successfully using my parent credentials.
-
Attempted to assign the device to the child’s profile and finalize the setup.
Symptoms & Behavior:
-
When reviewing the parent portal from my management device, the child’s device consistently shows up as “Inactive” or displays a “Needs Attention” status.
-
On the child’s device, the Norton Family app continuously prompts for activation credentials, even after correct entry, or displays a warning banner indicating protection failure.
-
The system fails to report any activity (location, web browsing, etc.), confirming that the parental protection features are not active.
I need immediate assistance to successfully link and activate the installed software with my Norton Family account so that essential parental controls can begin functioning.
