Crypto option not showing up

I have a 6950 and get a 'No viable GPU found' message in my history.  I have an open support ticket but have not heard back yet.  I read another post where a user resolved the issue by Norton adding their card on some type of white list on the back end.  Could they do this for my card?

that has now been added to the list of viable GPU cards for mining

What about the original card from this post, the 6950?  Is that on this list?  Still have not received a call or e-mail from my support ticket.

norton 360 version 22.22.7.14

What version of Norton do you have?

No I don't have and the page is empty.

This was already in our list of viable GPU cards. Can you check the history to see if it shows a line describing if the card is able to mine?

vendor = Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI]

What is the vendor ID and device ID for that card?

I have asrock rx 5600 xt 6gig and the banner don't appear in the moment.

I was unable to find it on PCI look up.

Could u give more details about the card? Vendor I’d and model #

PaMr. The data sheet for your GPU doesn't specify whether its light hash rate or not. The box it came in SHOULD. Further, when you installed the card it should also have been detected as LHR if it has been tweaked by Nvidia due to the GPU shortage and gaming. Nevertheless it SHOULD be capable of mining ETH. The question is what is the minimum HR Norton is expecting?

Other hash rate references for you:

I looked up my card. NVIDIA Corporation 10de TU104GL [Quadro RTX 4000] 1eb1 This does not appear to be a LHR Card.

Additionally, I found this site which indicates the Quadro RTX 4000 is used for mining.

Is there anything else that I can look at?

There are some GPU cards that are not viable for mining. While they are designed to be good at gaming, they are expressly set to be LHR (Lite Hash Rate) and unsuitable for crypto mining.

If you want to look up your exact card, first find the vendor ID and device ID, first find the device ID with one of these links:

NVidia(link is external)(link is external)(link is external)

AMD(link is external)(link is external)(link is external)

then use https://www.pcilookup.com/(link is external)(link is external)(link is external) to see the full description, if you see LHR, then it is not suitable for mining

Your only solution is to get a different GPU card.

My version was updated to Norton Security 22.21.11.46.  If this was the updated, I still do not have the crypto option.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Norton.

Is there anything else I can try?

the update rolls out to various systems "not all at once", so it may take up to a week for all systems to be updated

Did an update come out.  I haven't seen any announcements.  If it did, how do I update it?

We have an update coming next week that should resolve this, there have been several that have run into this same issue.
