Every time I attempt to install Cursor AI Editor, Norton immediately flags it as a virus and either deletes it or moves it into quarantine. To proceed, I have to manually restore the file and add it to the exclusion list.
However, the problem doesn’t end there. When I try to update the application later, I encounter an “Access is Denied” error. This makes me believe that Norton is interfering with the update process even after I’ve added the application to the exclusion list.
This situation is incredibly disappointing, as it disrupts my workflow and forces me to spend unnecessary time troubleshooting. It seems like a false positive issue on Norton’s end, and I would appreciate guidance on how to resolve this permanently. Additionally, I believe Norton should review its detection algorithms for Cursor AI Editor to prevent this from happening in the future.
